Have you ever wanted to actually be an archaeologist? If you answered YES! then sign up now to be a part of OSU’s Dept. of Anthropology 2016 field school in Dublin, OH. That’s right, just up the road! The excavation area has extensive artifact scatter dating back over 10,000 years. Students will learn basic archaeological field and lab techniques, as well as learn about the importance of this site in Ohio’s fascinating prehistory.

  • The class runs 5 days a week, MTWRF (except May 30th, Memorial Day), May 11th - June 6th
  • 7am - 5pm each day
  • Transport to Dublin on your own, although students without a car should be able to arrange a ride with another student
  • Students will learn various field and labs techniques
  • Grading is based on a field journal and completion of field and lab tasks.
  • Tuition/lab fee due on May 4th or before.
  • Non - OSU students welcome
  • No pre-reqs
